The Flight Deck Setup
Behind every great simulator is a collection of carefully chosen components that make the experience feel authentic. At XLB Simulations, every decision, from hardware to visuals, has been guided by one goal: realism without compromise.
The simulator is built around a full closed cockpit from Vier im Pott, paired with Skalarki Electronics for avionics. This combination ensures that every switch, knob, and display behaves as it does in the real A320 flight deck.
For flight dynamics and systems modeling, we're running X-Plane 12 Professional together with the ToLiss A320 Pro. This setup delivers the accuracy, stability, and performance required for professional use.
The visual environment is powered by three 4K projectors, forming a 220-degree field of view across a five-meter curved screen. The result is a seamless panoramic view that fills the pilot's entire forward vision, providing a true flight-deck perspective without the need for VR.

Sound and feel matter just as much as visuals. A multi-zone sound system reproduces the aircraft's engines, environment, and aural cues, while seat-mounted haptic transducers bring the tactile side of flight directly to the pilot's seat: the rumble of the runway, engine vibrations, and turbulence.
Even the cockpit ventilation is connected to the aircraft logic, quietly responding to system state changes and adding a subtle layer of realism to the environment.
Many of these systems continue to evolve as the simulator matures. Future updates will explore the integration details and how each part contributes to the overall immersion.
